Well... Internet connections are not as easy to come by as I had hoped.
Saturday we spent the day doing a walking tour around Dublin & learned a lot of its very humorous & interesting history. I think dustin & I both loved Dublin & hate that we didn't have time to see the rest of Ireland. Everyone was amazingly friendly! We ended up joining our tour guide for a pint at Oreilly's before heading back to our hotel to grab our luggage & move to our hotel closer to the airport. THIS... Is where things took a turn.
On the bus ride over our bodies started to tell us to call it a day but we had planned on spending our last night in Dublin... IN Dublin, not at some lame holiday inn @ the airport! After finally getting into the room we decided to check out the restaurant at the hotel next door to ours. We came into a lively setting as the football (soccer) game was starting & we were glad we stayed close. Dustin ordered fish & chips again & I decided I was not so hungry so I ordered a bagel & lox. Well... They do that quite differently than I'm used to, it had some weird sweet jelly on it, hardly no cream cheese & a lettuce of some kind. I'm adventurous though & so I ate it even despite my mouth saying no... Not good. Well... 15 minutes later I broke into a sweat & I barely made it to finding the lobby bathrooms before loosing it. I told dustin I didn't feel well & to stay & hang out with the people we had been visiting w/ & headed back to our hotel room to spend the rest of the night realizing I could not even hold down a sip of water! Dustin partied with the locals till the bar closed trying to teach them not to mess with a Texan,he says he won the battle but I don't know he wasn't in the best of form Sunday morning! :( I woke Sunday morning knowing we had to be at the airport at 5:30am so I tried to kick it into gear & quickly realized I didn't even need a sip of water to know I was still sick! Yep... Hotel shuttle bus, airport, flight to Manchester, the train to our hotel.. All the while running from trash can to toilet to plastic bags I could get my hands on! HUMILIATING & MISERABLE! So so bad. Well we get to our hotel here in Manchester only to realize, it's only 9am & check in doesnt start until 2. Dustin & I figured under the circumstances they would arrange a room for us right away & they said, "nope! But you can leave your luggage here while you go to the hospital!" what!? So, I layed on the lobby couch for 2 hours alternating shaking & sleeping while dustin ran for gatorades & crackers & whatever else he could think of. (my sweet man) so end of the story is I slept my entire Sunday in a beautiful historical city away. I had decided if any way possible I was making the Coldplay concert though. I think it took me 2 hours between showering & piddling around to get ready in spurts before I'd have to lay down again. Dustin left to get me another Gatorade & came back to realize our room was an oven (no AC in lots of places here) & probably the majority of the reason I was not getting any better. With that in mind I pushed to just get myself out the door & did feel a little better. I ended up eating and enjoying the show though I was too weak to get down on the floor & battle the crowd for that many hours so we found some seats instead. Awesome show! Crowd was amazing and into the show but they love to launch full beers across the stadium (which ends up nailing usually a poor girl in the head.) It was really ticking Dustin off! Looking forward to the show back in Dallas where I will be 100%! ;)
